PARABOLA is a mathematics journal published twice yearly by the Australian Mathematics Trust in association with the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of New South Wales. The Australian Mathematics Trust is a not-for-profit organization that administers mathematical enrichment activities for Australian and International students.

The journal publishes articles and problems on applied mathematics, mathematical modelling, statistics and pure mathematics that can contribute to the teaching and learning of mathematics at the secondary school level.

The journal is aimed at mathematics students, teachers and researchers with interests in promoting excellence in secondary school mathematics. Contributions to the journal are invited as either:

Section A) referred journal articles which conform to the normal standards of an academic journal
or
Section B) problems, reviews, views and other articles subject to the approval of the editorial board.

PARABOLA is keen to encourage a wide range of contributions from educators and students at secondary and tertiary levels.

Three complete copies of articles to be considered for publication in PARABOLA should be sent to the Editor along with a cover letter indicating the section Whig the article is intended for.

The cover letter should also state whether or not the text of the article can be prepared electronically either as a common variant of TeX or a Microsoft word document.
