The timetable for most of the MScTech courses will be determined at a meeting in Room 4082, Red Centre, on Monday 20th July for Semester 2 at 9.00am.

For the convenience of part-time and full-time students, MStats classes are typically taught from 5:30pm to 8:00pm on weekdays during semester.

Please consult the lecturer in charge for other courses.

The Master of Science & Technology, Master of Statistics, Master of Financial Mathematics and the Master of Biostatistics are coursework degrees. Although they involve a project, the main emphasis is on increasing the student's base of knowledge; the project serves as an introduction to independent research and is usually largely expository in nature. Such projects are assessed internally within the School.

For coursework degrees and qualifying programs, satisfactory completion of the courses involved constitutes satisfactory progress. In those degree or qualifying programs that also require project work, it is expected that progress on this component of the program will be closely monitored by the Director of Graduate Studies and his or her professional colleagues.

A re-enrolment each semester is necessary when the enrolment period opens and certainly before the next Semester starts. Students whose progress is good may upgrade from (for example) MSciTech to M.Sci on the recommendation of the School and in agreement with the Higher Degree Committee of the Faculty of Science.
