Entry Requirements for Studying Postgraduate Coursework Mathematics and Statistics

Entry Requirements

To enter any of the above programs, students must have:

  • completed a Mathematics or Statistics degree in a Science and/or Mathematics program, or a degree in a related area;
  • sufficient mathematical/statistical background, and an average above 65% in the relevant level III courses; and
  • shown some evidence of the ability to undertake independent study.

In addition, students must also have permission of the Head of School or the Postgraduate Coursework Coordinator. Qualifying programs are available for students who do not meet the standard entry requirements. Prospective students should note that all these programs have English Language Requirements
