Master of Science & Technology in Computation The Master of Science and Technology in Computation (Program 8705) is intended for graduates with the equivalent of a 4-year degree in Science, Engineering or other mathematically based discipline, completed at a satisfactory level. All students are expected to demonstrate evidence of suitable mathematical ability and performance before admission. Candidates must also have adequate higher-level language (preferably Fortran) programming skills. The minimum time for completion of the course is one year full time or two years part time. Admission to the program and actual completion time may depend on student demand and the availability of resourses. Students are required to complete, satisfactorily, 48 units of credit, as follows:
With the approval of the Director of Graduate Studies, a student may take up to two graduate level courses which are not on the list below. Compulsory Courses
Elective Courses (Not all courses are necessarily offered every year)
All the above courses carry 6 UOC. A complete list of the Mathematics graduate level courses is given on the Graduate Courses page, but in any given year only a subset of these courses is offered. The courses offered in the year should be finalised by January of the year. The student's proposed program of study requires the approval of the Director of Graduate Studies.
