The Human Face of Data Analytics – What you need to know for business survival and success: On 25 May 2011 a MASCOS and Industry & Investment NSW breakfast briefing took place at Sydney's MLC Centre, looking at the value that a focus on the human face and infrastructure of analytics can deliver to business. Keynote speakers were Dr Eugene Dubossarsky, Director of Presciient, and Paul Ormonde-James, advisor to Echo Entertainment Group.
Discrete Optimization Workshop on Applications in Transport, Logistics and Networks: Held 12-15 October 2010, this workshop was organised by MASCOS in conjunction with an international consortium of Mathematical Research Centres of Excellence (MITACS, CMM, and MATHEON). Sponsored by Industry & Investment NSW and the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute, it brought together academic researchers, industry researchers and industry leaders to discuss recent developments in discrete optimization, and to promote regional and international mathematical exchange and collaboration.
