Printing in the Computing Laboratories

Printing facilities are provided for student use in the School of Mathematics and Statistics Computing Laboratories.

As of 2009 the Schhol of Mathematics uses the same system as the Library for printing.

To print something in the computing labs, you should print it from inside the application that you are using. The print job is then sent to the print server which holds it until you go to the Printer Release Station (located next to the printers in the computing labs) to pay for your printing.

When you get to the Printer Release station you will need to log on using your student number and Unipass. After you log in you will see all of the print jobs from either of the computing labs which have not been released yet as well as your outstanding print quota. To release one or more print jobs, highlight the print jobs which you wish to release and then click the print button. At this point your selected print jobs will start to print from the printer located next to the Printer Release Station. If you wish to add more money to your printing account you will need to visit the Library.
