Course Overview

This course studies a wide variety of topics in Algebra and Calculus, where the emphasis is on examples from the Life Sciences. Topics in Algebra include matrix equations, systems of linear equations and difference equations whilst differentiation and integration are given prominence in Calculus. A variety of first and second order differential equations are also studied, as are series expansions of the classical functions. Differentiation for functions of more than one variable is introduced.
