CFC source code

CFC source code and documentation for MOM

The CFC source code provided here was written for use with any version of MOM 1.0. However, users of MOM 2.0 should also find the code and associated documentation easy to incorporate. In the near future I plan to include the CFC source code in MOM 2.0 format. Users of other models should also find the code easy to port even with only minimal familiarity of MOM model syntax.

Interested users can download the complete source code, read_me file and climatological data sets required to run their ocean models with CFC uptake. The use of CFCs as validation tracers in ocean models has been demonstrated in several studies (e.g., England et al., 1994, England, 1995, Robitaille and Weaver, 1995, Dixon et al., 1996, England and Hirst, 1997).

Downloading the CFC source code and documentation for MOM

The following files can be obtained by right-clicking on each file to obtain an automatic ftp transmission. The 'read_me' file is viewable as an html document.

SourceCodeCFC.tar - Source code required to run MOM with CFC uptake
ForcingCFC.tar.Z - Observed wind speed, sea-ice and atmospheric CFC to force model uptake
ReadMeCFC.html - Read me file describing how the CFC uptake works, and options available
AllFilesCFC.tar.Z - All of the above (code, data and read_me files)

Problems with the anonymous ftp or incorporating the source code?
