This is a Professional Development course for high school maths and science teachers developed at the School of Mathematics and Statistics at UNSW.
This purely online course will introduce teachers to Archimedes' law of the lever, centres of mass, expected values of probability distributions, barycentric coordinates, and interesting applications via online videos.
There will also be fun activities and challenges that will develop and deepen your mathematical understanding, and give you ideas and materials for engaging your students.
You will be able to interact with fellow educators from around the country.
This course is BOSTES accredited in NSW and ACT for 6 hours of PD, and meets APST standards 2.1.2 and 2.5.2. This running of the course is available for only $90, and will last 4 weeks, from 6 February to 13 March, 2017.
