Advanced Mathematics Day 2021 - resources to replace the event

Friday, 15 October 2021 - 5:00pm to Sunday, 21 November 2021 - 5:00pm

Each October we host Advanced Mathematics Day, where we provide info to help guide our students in the next steps of their studies.

Unfortunately the 2021 event was cancelled due to COVID-19, but we didn't want you to miss out - so we’ve prepared some info on the webpages linked below.

First and second year students

The information on this webpage is tailored to first and second year Advanced Mathematics students, and includes presentations by our Head of School and Heads of Applied Maths, Pure Maths, and Statistics, offering some guidance on choosing your major. This info should also be helpful to those in later years who are still considering their major.

Third and fourth year, "pre-Honours", students

The information on this webpage is tailored to students on the brink of entering the Honours year, or those in earlier years who are already thinking ahead to Honours.

We held a special online Honours Info Session on Friday 8 October, and hope to hold similar events into the future. Keep an eye on our Events webpages

Thinking ahead to Postgraduate Research study?

This webpage provides a sample of some of the PhD research projects offered by staff members in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and has info on how to find a supervisor in the area you are interested in.
