The School of Mathmatics and Statistics at UNSW is the largest of its kind in Australia, with the most extensive choice of courses and flexible programs. Studying mathematics and statistics will improve your logical and analytical skills and prepare you for a wide variety of careers.

There are a range of scholarships available, and if you happen to be an extra talented student there is a Talented Students Program available to help you achieve your full potential.

Our School is a vibrant place, and we aim to encourage student participation in mathematics. We run an annual Do the Maths workshop which gives female year 11 and 12 students a glimpse of the infinite possibilities that arise from the study of mathematics and statistics. The University also holds a popular School Mathematics Competition every year which is open to high school students.
