A paper co-authored by Professor David Warton has won the Journal of Agricultural, Biological and Environmental Statistics (JABES) Paper of the Year Award for 2017.
The paper, Generalized Linear Latent Variable Models for Multivariate Count and Biomass Data in Ecology, was presented during an invited talk at the International Biometrics Conference in Barcelona recently.
Co-authors are Francis Hui, Jenni Niku and Sara Taskinen.
Francis Hui is one of our former Statistics PhD students, while Sara Taskinen and Jenni Niku have strong links to the School as visitors.
JABES publishes papers that introduce new statistical methods to solve practical problems in the agricultural sciences, the biological sciences (including biotechnology), and the environmental sciences (including those dealing with natural resources).
Congratulations to Prof Warton and his collaborators!
