Professor Jake Olivier has been interviewed by SMH for a piece on road and pedestrian safety. 

The article highlights the high number of "preventable deaths" on roads over the Christmas period, the role of speed, and the deficiencies of current government policy. 

Professor Olivier spotlighted pedestrian injury and fatality risk and their link to increased speeds. 

Raphael Grzebieta, Professor of Road Safety at the Transport and Road Safety Research unit at UNSW, was also quoted in the story.
