Professor Gary Froyland will participate in the upcoming Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Conference on Mathematics of Planet Earth as an invited speaker.
The conference, to be held in California in June, will provide a forum for mathematicians and computational scientists engaged in the areas of climate change, biodiversity, infectious diseases, sustainability, energy, food and water.
Professor Froyland is among a small group of researchers hand-picked to deliver invited presentations for the event. His talk is titled The Dynamic Ocean.
SIAM is the peak US body for applied and industrial mathematics, and aims to advance the application of mathematics and computational science to engineering, industry, science, and society.
We wish Professor Froyland all the very best for his presentation at the conference.
