Being a UNSW Teaching Fellow has undoubtedly been a career highlight for which I am very grateful. This opportunity has expanded and renewed my mathematical knowledge and armed me with new approaches to problem-solving and assessment. It has taught me so much about explaining topics and setting out solutions in a careful, rigorous and engaging manner. In this talk, I will elaborate on my experience in detail.

I completed my schooling in Southwest Sydney. My tertiary studies have included a BA(Hons) Dip Ed (Syd), an MA (ANU) and a Cert TESOL (UNSW). I have worked as a teacher for about 27 years. In Australia, I have taught high school Mathematics and History classes in NSW and the ACT. In my native Isle of Man, I also taught mathematics to A-level, as well as some high school History and a year at a primary school near a steam railway.
